The EDP Foundation opens the application period for EDP Martín González del Valle Grants for 2020/2021

The EDP Foundation has launched the call for the EDP Martín González del Valle 2020/2021 grant programme, aimed at 78 students from 25 specialities at Oviedo University, who will be carrying out internships at EDP.

Internships are carried out in all areas of the company, under the supervision of tutors, who train and help and supervise the work carried by the students, who also take part in innovation and continuous improvement programmes.

The scholarships have a duration of 10 months, are paid internships and the training period will be from November to July.

Enrollment applications can be carried out from the 1st to the 15th of September, through the internship platform on the Oviedo University web page. Thanks to the programme, the leading work placement scheme at Oviedo University which has been allocated almost one million euros, students receive training that is crucial in helping them to enter the world of business.

The degree students who may opt for the grant include, among others, those in Industrial Technology Engineering, Industrial Electronics and Automation, Business Management and Administration, Law, Chemistry or Mathematics. Postgraduate-Master’s students in Law, Workplace Hazard Prevention, Electrical Energy Conversion and Power Systems, and in Mining, Telecommunications, Energy and Industrial Engineering can also apply for the grant.

The Martín González del Valle scholarships, that are the result of an agreement with Ovideo University, is the leading work placement scheme at the University and one of the most important initiatives run by the EDP Foundation in the field of education. The initiative is celebrating its 37th anniversary this year, and since it was set up in 1983, over 100 people who took part in the programme have gone on to join the workforce of the EDP Group in Spain.
