At 8.30 this evening, the Camerata Revillagigedo will put on a concert at the Casa de Cultura in Cangas de Onis. This is the first recital in the series of four concerts, sponsored by the EDP Foundation, which the group has scheduled for this Christmas in Asturias.
Under the direction of maestro José Fernández Avello and accompaniment of the pianist Rosario Álvarez Fernández, the choral group will sing traditional carols and themes such as 'Over the Rainbow', by Harold Arlen and 'A Merry Christmas’, by Arthur Warrell. The group will include the voices of sopranos Ana María Peinado and Lucía García Fernández and the baritone Julio Sutil Martínez.
The upcoming concerts will take place on Friday 23, from 8:00 pm in the church of San Martin in Sotrondio; on Wednesday 28 at 8:00 pm in the church of Santa María La Real de la Corte in Oviedo; and on Thursday 29, at 8:00 pm at the Collegiate Church of St. John the Baptist (Revillagigedo Palace) in Gijón.
