During 2013, the Passion for Knowledge - Quantum 13 meetings were held in the three Basque capitals, Bilbao, San Sebastian and Vitoria, as part of the DIPC science communication programme, which seeks to promote fluid dialogue between society and science.
These meetings, which brought science from the last frontiers to students, teachers and the general public, combined informative talks and workshops for society as a whole and included five Nobel Prize and three Prince of Asturias winners among its speakers.
The economic newspaper Expansión recognised the organisation as a ‘sustainable institution’ at the sixth edition of the ‘Innovación + Sostenibilidad + Red 2020’ awards
Social
The students, who will start on November 3, will carry out training sessions both in the classroom and online.
The Princesa de Asturias
Foundation will have four electric cars to use for transport during the week of
the Awards.
Culture
Total aid for the initiatives comes to 600,000 euros.
