The EDP Foundation sponsored the XXX San Silvestre Oviedo run.

Just like in many other cities, thousands of people young and old alike took part in this fun run to mark the end of the year on 31 December. The participants gathered in the Plaza de la Escandalera square at around 6.00 p.m., waiting for the start gun to be fired.

The youngest runners, in the Under-13, Under 11 and Under 9 categories, enthusiastically completed a 1,400 m course, while the older runners (Fun 2000 category) set off on a 5K route through the city centre.
