02.22.2014

During this first quarter of the year, the EDP FOUNDATION and Fapas (Fund for the Protection of Wild Animals) will carry out the last part of the reforestation of the Sierra del Valledor mountain, as the target goal of 30,000 planted trees will be achieved during this campaign. It is the third planting campaign and will result in 10,000 new trees for El Valledor. This reforestation work is aimed at recovering the zone after the serious fire in 2011, thus fostering the presence of forest stands of native species, mainly chestnut and birch, that act as natural firebreaks.
