The Director of the Príncipe de Asturias Foundation, Teresa Sanjurjo, will receive from the EDP Foundation Director, Nicanor Fernández, the three electric vehicles that the EDP Foundation is providing to help to ensure that this year’s prize giving ceremony is, yet again, an event certified as Zero Emissions.
EDP, which is a member of the Board of the EDP Foundation, has had these cars, along with other industrial vehicles, in its regular fleet for three years ago.
EDP, as part of its commitment for sustainability mobility, has started to install charging points for these vehicles at its main work centres. The vehicles for the Príncipe de Asturias Foundation will also be recharged at those points that the energy company has installed in its centres.
The EDP Foundation also sponsors the Week of the Principe de Asturias Prizes programme that organises activities with the winners of the different categories at different points in Asturias. N.B. The delivery of the vehicles, one of the events that kicks off the Week of the Prizes programme, will take place outside the Hotel de la Reconquista in Oviedo at 11.00 a.m. on Monday 21 October.
Luz Minera is the title of the winning project of the second Public Art Ideas Competition, a competition organised by the EDP Foundation.
