The artists, Eduardo Hurtado, Ixone Sádaba, Ana Román, Abigail Lazkoz, Fernando Sinaga and Concha Prada form the programme for the first six months of “Meetings with artists”, the proposal by the Artium Museum in Vitoria-Gasteiz which allows closer knowledge of the creators and their work that form part of the collection. This programme, which contributes to the aim of raising awareness about contemporary art, is sponsored by the EDP Foundation.
Starting at 19:00 in sessions that last about an hour and a half, the artists explain in the Museum Auditorium how they tackle the creative process and present important works or projects. The conversation then continues in the South Gallery, in front of the work or works on display in the corresponding exhibition of the Artium Collection.
This meeting format allows the audience to interact with the creators, and through direct contact encourages conversation and a deeper knowledge of representative works of Basque and Spanish art.
