Starting at 4:30 pm, in Plaza Indautxu, the EDP Foundation will swap nature-related drawings for trees. It will hand out 1,000 cherry tree seedlings in total.
It will do so in collaboration with the Wildlife Protection Fund (FAPAS), an entity with which the EDP Foundation has undertaken numerous projects linked to conserving and protecting the environment.
All students from the local schools are invited and any children who wish to do so can participate. They will be provided with a space with all of the material needed to do the drawings and, in addition, will enjoy the company of characters from the Viva Nuestra Energia [Long Live Our Energy] educational programme, who will contribute to livening up the day.
The economic newspaper Expansión recognised the organisation as a ‘sustainable institution’ at the sixth edition of the ‘Innovación + Sostenibilidad + Red 2020’ awards
