The 3rd “Buscando Sonrisas” Night Trail will take place on June 9 at 7:00 pm in Santander. The event, which is sponsored by the EDP Foundation, is a charity race and all the proceeds will go to a charity project promoted by the Buscando Sonrisas Association. In this case, it will be the humanisation of the paediatric emergency departments at the Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital. Registration is open until June 1 https://trail.buscandosonrisas.org.
This event, which is promoted as the most beautiful urban trail in the world, aims to consolidate itself as a way of doing sports as a family. The course, which is 10,000 metres long, brings the sensations of a mountain race to the city. It is also nocturnal, which adds an extra sense of adventure to the event. Participants will be able to discover unknown parts of Santander: asphalt, wooden walkways, paths, gardens, lots of steps, ascents and descents, beaches, lighthouses and historic buildings are all part of a course that is full of surprises and music.
The start line will be on the Gamazo Esplanade (Av. Severiano Ballesteros). Participants will run along the entire coast of Santander, including a section round the Magdalena Peninsula. The finish line will be in the Campa del Faro car park.
Luz Minera is the title of the winning project of the second Public Art Ideas Competition, a competition organised by the EDP Foundation.
