Jorge Manuel Pérez and Paula Mayorbe were the winners of the EDP Ruta de la Reconquista Half Marathon. More than 1,400 runners took part in the popular race, celebrating its 29th edition, to defy the rain and cover the route between Cangas de Onís and Covadonga.
1 hour, 10 minutes and 46 seconds. This was the time that Jorge Manuel Pérez took to complete the half-marathon. In the women's category, Paula Mayorbe stopped the clock at 1 hour, 18 minutes and 52 seconds, the best time in the history of the women's race. Mayorbe reduced the time of Veronica Perez in 2015 by just one second.
Diosinio Martínez (1:13:27) and Fernando Villarmín (1:13:51) completed the men’s podium, while Itziar Méndez (1:24:29) and Cristina Vega (1:26:00) accompanied Paula Mayorbe on the women’s podium.
EDP employees and suppliers also took part in the EDP Ruta de la Reconquista Half Marathon. In total, more than 30 people ran under the EDP banner.
Luz Minera is the title of the winning project of the second Public Art Ideas Competition, a competition organised by the EDP Foundation.
