The EDP Foundation planted 1800 native trees in the green belt around Vitoria-Gasteiz in December 2014, with the aim of helping to achieve the objectives set by the city since the European Union named it European Green Capital 2012 in 2010, giving it the chance to put sustainable development at the heart of the city’s strategy, to make it the key to its development, to involve citizens and build society, and to strengthen its positioning as a green city.
The economic newspaper Expansión recognised the organisation as a ‘sustainable institution’ at the sixth edition of the ‘Innovación + Sostenibilidad + Red 2020’ awards

The students, who will start on November 3, will carry out training sessions both in the classroom and online.
The Princesa de Asturias
Foundation will have four electric cars to use for transport during the week of
the Awards.
Culture
Total aid for the initiatives comes to 600,000 euros.
