Finance, innovation, energy efficiency and social responsibility. These are some of the areas in which the EDP Foundation will train the heads of 32 charitable entities in the coming months. To this end, it has launched the EDP Foundation Academy, an initiative aimed at facilitating social development and strengthening the organisational skills of the entities that the Foundation has supported through EDP Solidarity.
The EDP Foundation Academy was presented in Oviedo by the CEO of EDP España, Rui Teixeira, and the director of the EDP Foundation, Vanda Martins, at an event attended by the provincial representative for Social Services and Rights, Pilar Varela, and the Director General for Educational Organisation and Innovation, Francisco Laviana.
During the presentation, Rui Teixeira highlighted “the positive impact of this new initiative, which will promote the transformation of our society through training on different subjects”. In his opinion, “the EDP Foundation Academy is strengthening our commitment to local communities and will contribute significantly to the development of the entities with which we have collaborated for years and with which we share objectives and priorities, such as the integration and the well-being of everyone”.
Training will be given primarily by EDP professionals and will be carried out in three phases, both face-to-face and online, via the website www.fundacionedp.es. Sessions will focus on subjects that reinforce and broaden the knowledge and skills of the entities taking part. As a result, they will be able to receive training on finance, human resources, communication and marketing, innovation, energy savings and efficiency, networking, legal aspects and social impact, among other subjects.
In addition, the EDP Foundation will select five entities that will be individually mentored between June and September to further enhance their development.
