On Monday, April 18, Gijón will play host to the EDP Foundation’s "one tree, one drawing” initiative. Starting at 4:00 pm, in Plaza del Instituto, it will swap nature-related drawings for trees. The Foundation will hand out 1,000 cherry tree seedlings in total. It will do so in collaboration with the Wildlife Protection Fund (FAPAS), an entity with which the EDP Foundation has undertaken numerous projects linked to conserving and protecting the environment in Asturias.

Any children who wish to do so can participate in this initiative, to which all students from the local schools are invited. They will be provided with a space with all of the material needed to do the drawings. In addition, the event will feature the participation of characters from the Viva Nuestra Energia [Long Live Our Energy] educational programme.
