On 15-16 May Fundación EDP, EDP Renováveis and the bar Association of Oviedo organised seminars on energy and environmental legislation that covered topics such as “The New Electricity Rate”, “Regulation of the Electricity Industry Based on Renewable Energy Sources” and “The Effects of the New Remuneration Parameters in Renewables” along with other topics of interest at local level such as the “Law on Sustainability and Environmental protection in the Principality of Asturias”.
The event, held at the headquarters of the Bar Association of Oviedo, the regional capital of Asturias, was attended by over 3000 professionals, and featured specialists in the field such as Javier López Lahera, head of the legal advisory department of EDP Renváveis, Isaac Pola, Director-General for Mining and Energy in the Principality of Asturias and Ricardo González, Director-General for Energy and Mines at the Regional Government of Castilla y León.
Juan Antonio Martín, Head of the Environmental Risk Prevention and Climate Change Department of the Principality of Asturias, Dolors Verges I Fernandez. Head of the Urban Development Committee of the Regional Government of Catalonia and José Antonio Cullia, Secretary of the Urban Development and Land Use Committee of the Principality of Asturias, also gave presentations on the Friday.
Sponsorship of informational events such as this is evidence of EDP Renováveis’ commitment to guaranteeing transparency and trust in dealings with the public and with specialists in the regions where it operates, transmitting its values and its respect for biodiversity and the environment.
The economic newspaper Expansión recognised the organisation as a ‘sustainable institution’ at the sixth edition of the ‘Innovación + Sostenibilidad + Red 2020’ awards

The students, who will start on November 3, will carry out training sessions both in the classroom and online.
The Princesa de Asturias
Foundation will have four electric cars to use for transport during the week of
the Awards.
Culture
Total aid for the initiatives comes to 600,000 euros.
