ACAMBI and the EDP Foundation, on behalf of the different sponsors and associates, handed over at the EDP offices in Bilbao the cheque for the money raised during the III Breast Cancer Charity Run.

Doctor María del Mar Vivanco, a researcher at the Zamudio bioGUNE centre, accepted the cheque for EUR 50,000 which will help to continue to fund the “Further Steps in the Fight Against Breast Cancer Therapy Resistance”.

The Breast Cancer Charity Run, which was held for the third time in Bilbao in October, was set up with two fundamental objectives: to encourage people to do sport and to drive research in the fight against breast cancer.
