Incorporation

The EDP Foundation started out as the Hidrocantábrico Foundation, established on 30 May 1997, a decision taken with the unanimous agreement by the General Meeting of Shareholders on 18 June 1996.

As the result of the different changes to the shareholding structure of the Company, the evolution of the Hidrocantábrico Foundation led to the EDP Foundation, incorporated on 5 November 2013, and whose registered office is at Plaza de la Gesta 2, 33007 Oviedo.

Mission

The mission of the Foundation is to strengthen the commitment of the EDP Group in the geographical spheres in which the group operates, with special emphasis on environmental, social, cultural and educational areas within a perspective of global sustainable development, where the efficient and responsible use and generation of energy plays a decisive role.
