Sponsoring the Madrid Fado Festival

Along with other Portuguese entities and companies, EDPR sponsored the Madrid Fado Festival in June. The event paid tribute to the most authentic Portuguese cultural expression, whose III festival was held in the Spanish capital.
This Festival, held in the Canal Theatres, repeated the success of the previous year.Katia Guerreiro, José Manuel Neto and Camané headlined the three days of concerts.
During the weekend, the appreciative and increasingly more Fada appreciative audience of Madrid thoroughly enjoyed the concerts along with the memory, thanks to lectures, exhibitions and films, of the greatest names of the past.

As part of the actions organised by EDP Renováveis, Fundación EDP again sponsored the Madrid Fado Festival in 2014. The event is a tribute to this genuinely Portuguese musical form and this year’s festival, held on 18-21 June, was the fourth of its kind.
