On 21 July 2014, the EDP Corporate Volunteering Programme unveiled its latest initiative, "Solidarity Computers” [Ordenadores Solidarios], which is up and running in EDP Spain and EDP Renewables.

Thanks to this initiative, each employee can opt to buy their own computer equipment (personal equipment and their peripherals) when it is going to be withdrawn and not going to be used again. The employee can keep the computer equipment in return for payment of an amount that will depend on the type of computer and which the EDP Foundation will donate to a charity.
