Education and Research
The Foundation for Biomedical Research and Innovation was established in 2014 to drive major progress in research in the biomedicine field. New facilities were therefore opened in the former Psychiatric Hospital, alongside the new University Hospital of Asturias (HUCA), in conjunction with 13 private and public companies, entities and institutions, including the EDP Foundation.
