The 175 students at Oviedo University who are carrying out their periods of practical training at EDP will receive their diplomas tomorrow on Thursday.
The rector of Oviedo University, Santiago García Granda, the Manging Director of EDP in Spain, Miguel Stilwell de Andrade, and the manager of the EDP Foundation, Nicanor Fernández, will present the students with the diplomas. The ceremony will take place at 10:30 in the Main Lecture Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Business, in Oviedo.
This year the EDP Foundation has allocated a million Euros to the programme. The EDP Foundation grant programme is one of the most important initiatives that the Foundation carries out and the most outstanding plan for practical training in companies at Oviedo University.
As well as the agreement with Oviedo University, the EDP Foundation has also signed agreements with other Spanish universities and schools to promote the training of more students at the different facilities and workplaces that the company has in other communities. As a result of this, more than 20 students are carrying out practical training in Madrid, Barcelona, La Coruña, Valencia and Zaragoza.
Luz Minera is the title of the winning project of the second Public Art Ideas Competition, a competition organised by the EDP Foundation.
