The aim of the first Ovida Intergenerational Race is to raise the profile of intergenerational relations and of all kinds of situations of dependence. This race, organised by the Ovida Intergenerational Centre, will be held in Oviedo on the 12th of May and is supported by the EDP Foundation.
It is an activity for the general public and a meeting point in a single event for people from all generations: the young, adults and the elderly, both the dependent and independent.
On the other hand, the activity aims to stress that anyone can carry out the sports activity of their choice (in this case, a fun run), whether they do so autonomously or with guides and technical aid.
The Ovida Intergenerational Race is for charity and what it raises will go to the non-profit association, “Déjame tus piernas” (Lend me your legs), which aims, through its inclusion policy, to ensure that people with reduced mobility can enjoy popular sport.
