Nearly 12,000 visitors, over 1,000 delegates and 500 catering professionals, including chefs and helpers, spent three days in San Sebastián at one of the main congresses of the hospitality sector.
EDP yet again sponsored the conference, which was held for the 16th time this year. It showcased the cuisine of north and south Italy and also threw the spotlight on the most innovative work of Spanish cutting-edge chefs. The greats of Spanish and Basque cuisine, including Juan Mari Arzak, Martin Berasategui, Andoni Luis Aduriz, Joan Roca, Carme Ruscalleda or Quique Dacosta, were alongside the leading names of Italian haute cuisine in San Sebastián.
EDP seized this special opportunity to invite 30 customers to the congress. Along with members of the company's commercial team, the guests not only had the chance to enjoy the cuisine, but also other aspects of the hospitality sector, such as wine and the restaurant industry, and engaging activities including the V National Grilling Contest or teen Gastronomika.
Luz Minera is the title of the winning project of the second Public Art Ideas Competition, a competition organised by the EDP Foundation.
