Challenge achieved. The Paralympic athlete and founder of “Maratones Solidarios” (CharityMarathons), Javi Conde, and the long-distance runner, Jon Salvador, took on the EDP - Bermeo City Council charity marathon on Sunday 6 May. Both completed the marathon distance, 42.195 kilometres, running round the San Juan de Gaztelugatxe Hermitage, in Bermeo (Bizkaia). In total, they did 829 laps.

This physical endurance test was sponsored by the EDP Foundation. The promoters of the challenge will donate the amount collected, 11,000 euros, to various charities, such as the Senegalese charity “Creating Futures”, the Association of Support for COPD Patients in Bizkaia, the Association for Aid for the Development of the Saharawi People or the Association for the Adapted Sport Aid and Development Programme.
