The Princess of Asturias Foundation

The institution has, since 1981, awarded the Prince of Asturias Awards (now Princess of Asturias Awards), which are aimed at rewarding the scientific, technical, cultural, social and human work carried out by individuals, teams or institutions working in the international arena, in the following eight categories: Communication and Humanities, Social Sciences, Arts, Literature, Technical and Scientific Research, International Cooperation, Concord and Sports and whose honorary president is HRH Leonor de Bourbon, Princess of Asturias.
