Fundación EDPInitiatives

The EDP Foundation collaborates every year in the sponsorship of various sporting events, including the following:

1. Women’s Race: which will raise funds for the fight against breast cancer.
2. Cycling Festival: with the collaboration of the Basque Cycling Foundation, the objective of which is to promote the use of the bicycle as a means of transport and leisure among young people and to enjoy a day with the family.
3. EDP International Basketball Training Camp: EDP International Basketball Campus: organised by the Baskonia 5+11 Foundation and held during the first half of July in Vitoria-Gasteiz, with a large numbers of attendees.
4. Family Fun Run: The Family Race: in collaboration with the El Correo Group, where parents, grandparents and grandchildren can be seen enjoying a festive morning.
5. Other Fun Runs: Other popular races: Bilbao Triatlhon, Ruta de la Reconquista Half Marathon in Cangas de Onis, 10 km from the town of Mieres, Half Marathon of Trubia and the San Silvestre race in Oviedo, races which have been very popular.
6. Asturian Sailing Week: where races are held along the central coast of Asturias.
