San Sebastian Musical Fortnight



The San Sebastian Musical Fortnight is a festival of classical music which started in 1939 and has become the oldest music festival in Spain and one of the oldest in Europe. Since its inception, it has enjoyed great prestige and every year, during the month of August, it offers more than a hundred concerts and shows distributed over various stages in San Sebastian.

  • The EDP Foundation is sponsoring LABoral's "Eco-visionarios" exhibition 05.15.2019

    The "Eco-visionarios" exhibition will be at LABoral (Gijón) on 24 May. The EDP Foundation is sponsoring this international exhibition project, which makes use of the most transversal contemporary art to address new environmental challenges. The exhibition is on until 26 October.


  • The L.E.V. Festival hosts 'Melting Memories' in the EDP Foundation space 05.02.2019

    The EDP Foundation is collaborating with the L.E.V. Festival or Laboratory of Visual Electronics in the patronage of an audiovisual installation inside the Church de la Laboral in Gijón, renamed for the occasion as Espacio Fundación EDP – Iglesia de la Laboral. The work is ‘Melting Memories: Engram (data sculpture)’, by the artist Refik Anadol


  • San Sebastian Musical Fortnight 08.03.2015

    The EDP Foundation sponsored the opening concert of the 76 edition of the San Sebastian Musical Fortnight that was held in San Sebastian.


  • Musical fortnight of San Sebastian 08.04.2013

    EDP has sponsored, in the 74 edition of the Musical Fortnight of San Sebastian, the concert of the Symphony orchestra of the Mariinsky Theater, that directed for the first time to the Easo Choir, formation of reference in the history of the festival.
