Collaboration with the SED DNGO

SED (Solidarity, Education and Development) is a non-profit Development Non-Governmental Organisation working in Spain, whose fundamental aim is solidarity with the most underprivileged.

In 2013, EDPR funded two projects run by the SED DNGO known as:

  • Educational support of minors at risk and social exclusion in Castilla y León consisting of a camp known as “SED Camp”, where 60 children enjoyed ten days in August doing non-formal education activities and free time in Navalguijo (Ávila).
  • Espiral urban camp: “At neighbour rate”, consisting of a twelve-day urban camp in Fuenlabrada, Madrid, where the Espiral Association works with minors, young people and women at risk of social exclusion. The camp wants to consolidate that continuous work that it does with 72 minors and adolescents by offering them a time of entertainment, coexistence and creative and participative free time and leisure activities.

The sphere of collaboration is not only economic, but also different volunteers of the company take part in these activities.
